Nollywood actress Funke Akindele is overjoyed to thank Ghanaians and Nigerians for helping her create history.

Funke Akindele became the first Nollywood film to make one billion naira in a short period of time, shattering all prior records for the Nigerian film industry.

A whopping one billion, sixty million, seven hundred and eleven thousand, four hundred and ninety-one thousand was made by the director.

The Wikipedia Nollywood grossing table shows that Funke Akindele’s A Tr!be Called Judah, Battle On Buka Street, and Omo Ghetto The Saga are now the highest-earning Nollywood films of all time.

She expressed her gratitude to Ghanaians and Nigerians for their assistance in helping her make history.

She also said that she could not express how much they loved her and how much their comments meant to her.

Funke thanked her cast and crew, describing them as “wonderful.”

She also thanked her coworkers, seasoned businesspeople, musicians, and famous people for supporting her efforts in return.

“Thank you Ghana and Nigeria for helping us make history,” the writer added.

“I cannot convey the love I have witnessed or the words I have read on social media, but I am incredibly grateful from the bottom of my heart.

“To my incredible supporters (my TR!BE!), the cast and crew of #atr!becalledjudah, friends, colleagues, influencers, comedians, musicians, and celebrities who have contributed in different ways to this project, you have made N1billion a reality, and without you, I could not have completed this.
