Yemi Solade loses the prize because he didn’t pay for the “plaque.”

Because he refused to pay for the plaque, Nollywood actor Yemi Solade’s award was withdrawn by the event’s organizers, leaving him disappointed.

The seasoned actor shared images of his chat with an organizer’s official on Instagram to disclose the situation.

Solade denounced the practice in his article, saying that he is not one of the actors that “buy” Oscars.

The organizers’ leaked chat said: “Good morning, sir. I hope you had a restful night’s sleep. I did forward your sponsorship response back to management. They also revealed the cost of the plaques, so I don’t think that sits well with them. Therefore, in order to save money, the award plaque might not be presented, but you are welcome to attend. I appreciate your thoughtfulness, sir.

“I declined to pay for the AWARD PLAQUE,” Solade captioned the photo. This is the result.
