Willian Estevao, a future Chelsea player, has revealed the shirt number he would like to wear at Stamford Bridge.

In anticipation of his high-profile transfer to Chelsea next summer, Estevao has been giving interviews on a regular basis since he turned 18.

Remember This summer, Chelsea reached an agreement with Palmeiras, a Brazilian club, that may fetch up to £51 million for the 17-year-old, who will join his new teammates the following summer.

When questioned about his plans for shirt number at Chelsea in an interview with ESPN Brazil, Estevão said, “It will be fantastic if they give me the shirt 41 like I have at Palmeiras.”

Several elite teams expressed interest in him, and he explained why he chose Chelsea in a different interview.

“I was really happy with Chelsea’s planning, which is why I chose them,” he told The Guardian.

For my family as well as for myself. It was the club that trusted my work and had faith in me. I’m hoping to repay that.

Given that Chelsea has been focusing on that market since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital took over, the teenage phenom is the club’s most costly acquisition from South America.
