In a recent interview, All Stars member Adekunle talked candidly about the challenges he had after leaving the Big Brother house.
The reality TV personality listed the difficulties he has encountered since going viral.
It’s no secret that being famous has its disadvantages, but Adekunle seems to be experiencing them for the first time when he says he can’t go to the market or use public transportation.
When questioned about how he manages his celebrity, Adekunle said:
I’ll be up front and honest with you. Being a media celebrity requires you to grasp some aspects of life, which makes it very tough for me to adjust. Saying this now implies that I might not be able to do this again since, regrettably, I am a very different person and prefer to do things differently. Every time I visit the markets in Balogun and Tinubu, I put on a face mask. I dash into the market and turn around.
I used to go to the market by myself when I was in charge of my business. After living in the house for a few months, I returned and saw that a lot had changed. It was hard for me to get used to. I was at my call when I wanted to connect. I still want to feel like a regular person, so I’ll do all those things I used to do, like ride public transportation, go to the market, or maybe just stand at the bus stop. I came to the realization that, for security considerations, I will have to give up some things. The pace is slower, but I have to get used to it.
