But when his flight was canceled, he made the decision to reschedule his visit.
In a video, he can be seen hiding behind a door when his parents entered. When his father saw him, he was initially shocked before becoming tearful.
He gave him a hug and started crying happy tears.
The Nigerian man living overseas posted the video on his TikTok website and commentedā¦
“Fifteen years have passed.” I have seen my father, I have seen my mother for eleven years, and I have been away from my native Nigeria for eight years. I made the decision to return home after eight years. I initially told them I was going home for New Year’s, but six months later the airline contacted me to ask for a refund because one of the airlines had to cancel their flight due to some problems and they couldn’t find another one. I told my family I could no longer go home because my flight had been canceled, and when I tried to book another one, the price had nearly tripled from what I had paid for the first one six months ago, when I tried to get another one on December 5th, guess what happened? Since my dad doesn’t live in Nigeria and we haven’t seen one other in a while, he booked his own travel home when I told him I was returning home. Thank God I was able to make contact with my family.
