“We purchased a freezer, blender, microwave, and a new mattress” – A Nigerian woman’s early love of cooking generates over ₦2 million in assistance

Following her disclosure that she now wakes up at 4:50 am to prepare for her husband after finding that her coworker bought him food at his workplace, a Nigerian woman is already making waves on social media and receiving online donations.

The aforementioned woman, known on X (formerly Twitter) as @_Debbie_OA, came to notice after tweeting about her spouse and a coworker at his place of employment.

“I’ve always been too lazy to wake up and get his lunch ready,” the woman wrote. However, I set my alarm for 4:50 am the day he told me a coworker had brought two spoons so he could eat with her.

Soon after her remarks went viral on social media, a lot of individuals asked for her account number to show their support.

As of the time this post was written, she had received donations from social media users totaling over 2 million naira.

She described how she and her spouse have utilized a portion of the funds in a recent post.

“We bought a freezer, blender, microwave, and a new mattress,” she said. Been occupied setting up 😭🙌🏽 eseun wa o.

In her message, she thanked the people who had donated to her and disclosed the uses for which she had put some of the funds.
