Timi Dakolo, a Nigerian singer, has responded to an X user who questioned whether his wife truly loves him.
When Timi Dakolo said that his wife used to feel ashamed whenever he picked her up in the branded Picanto he won from Nigerian Idols, an X user going by the handle Dickon responded.
Dickson asked why love is portrayed as distress by Nigerian men.
His statement…..
“I suffer for this girl hand” is not a flex. Why do Nigerian men paint love as suffering? Who has bewitched you people? Everything about this story is unrequited love
“Man was working so hard to get her to be with him even though she was embarrassed by him. What is funny about the story?”
In response, Dakolo said that the woman, who is now his wife, helped him advance in his career. The two had been together for about 15 years.
He went on to say that they now laugh about such occasions and chat about them.
“Do and tell your own love story as you will,” he added.
