Salo, a well-known TikToker, has described how an unidentified gunman in Lekki shot him three times. The gunman first intended to shoot him in the head but ran out of ammunition.
The Tiktoker detailed the events of the incident in a recent statement, admitting that when the attacker fired a shot into the air, he was unaware that things were getting out of hand.
He didn’t realize how serious the situation was until the shooter aimed the gun at him and fired once more.
Salo clarified that he believed the initial shooting was a joke because he was still able to speak and moan in agony.
His condition rapidly deteriorated, though, after he was shot twice more in the stomach, rendering him unable to breathe.
He further mentioned that the gunman tried to shoot him in the head but was unable to do so before running out of ammunition.
Salo stressed in his testimony that the assailants were “hired killers,” hired expressly to kill him, rather than armed robbers.
He was perplexed and questioned why he was singled out, given that he provides for his family and is seen as the “light.”
He also raised doubts about the attack’s motivations by pointing out that the murderers did not target other well-known individuals, such as singer Portable and fellow TikToker DJ Chicken.
This event comes after a previous attack in Lekki where Salo was shot and had his jewels taken.
He was taken to Perez Medcare Hospital, Lekki Phase 2, after the attack, which took place on Thursday, October 10, 2024, in the vicinity of the Lekki axis in Lagos State.
