Actress and film producer Ini Edo of Nollywood is up about the reason she is still single at 41 years old.
In an interview with Toke Makinwa for her podcast, Toke Moments, the actress revealed that the reason she is still unmarried is that she wants a mate who genuinely loves her.
Ini Edo made it clear that she is searching for a man who can provide respect and protection rather than one who is extravagant.
She said that she needs a man to be able to provide her real respect and protective energy. Although Ini accepted that love exists, she emphasized the difference between loving someone and being prepared to make a commitment to them.
According to her, it’s more important to be able to manage and overcome obstacles in life than it is to be wealthy. It’s also important to remember that she discussed the reasons why successful women terrify men in a previous interview.

“I am still single because all I want is to be truly loved by someone.” That’s it. I’m not making excessive demands.
It’s not that I can’t see love. Being loved and loving someone are two whole different things. You aren’t ready for a committed relationship, even if you love someone. I guess the reason I’m still single is that I can’t be in a relationship that is toxic.
“If you are unable to provide me with the shielding energy that enables me to honor you… I can’t be in a relationship with a man I don’t respect. We can’t be together if you can’t earn my respect. Since what’s the purpose?
“You have dragged yourself down to the point where I start talking back to you when it reaches the point where I start to disrespect you. Sometimes, money isn’t even the issue. It all comes down to your ability to love, control, and relate to others around you. Generosity!”
