After a terrible vehicle accident, West Ham striker Michail Antonio underwent surgery for a fractured lower limb and is currently recuperating in a hospital in London.
The 34-year-old had to have his £260,000 Ferrari FF cut after it crashed into a tree in Theydon Bois, Essex, on Saturday, leaving it disfigured.
It was stated that Antonio looked confused and dazed at the scene of the accident and was evacuated to the hospital.
Observe The West Ham player was in a state of confusion, according to Samuel Woods, a bystander who initially noticed the damage and informed SunSport.
Woods claims that Antonio inquired, “Where am I? What’s happening? Which vehicle am I in?
After walking his dog in Epping Forest, Woods, a caretaker, happened upon the incident. At first, he believed the car was deserted, but he soon discovered that someone was stuck inside.
Woods described Antonio’s condition as follows: “I said ‘hello’ to him to see if anyone was alive.” He was completely lost.
“I simply told you that you had an accident.” Instead of responding, he glanced about in an attempt to understand what I had said.
Antonio was discovered in the passenger seat after the driver’s side took the brunt of the impact, and emergency personnel labored for almost an hour to extricate him.
Since then, West Ham has issued a statement thanking the emergency personnel and the football community for their support.
“Everyone at the club hopes Michail gets well soon. We are deeply appreciative of the emergency services and medical staff who are still helping him,” the statement said.
