John Anosike, a pastor from South Africa, has gone viral on the internet after reminding his flock that their first fruit giving is for him, not the church.
The preacher is the founder and leader of Cape Town, South Africa-based New World Faith Ministries.
As a messenger of God’s word to his flock of over 8,000 followers, he was caught on camera informing them that their first fruit belongs to him.
He requests that they give him their first fruit of the year in remembrance, and in return, they will be well rewarded.
Pastor Anosike maintains his position in the face of criticism, arguing that it is for his personal well-being rather than the church as a whole.
Nonetheless, a lot of people on the internet disagree with his assertion and have immediately criticized him for it.
