The first song to reach one billion Spotify plays is announced by Guinness World Records, creating a lot of excitement.
GWR recently announced the news on X, formerly known as Twitter.
GWR revealed on Twitter that Drake’s 2016 single “One Dance,” which featured WizKid and Kyla, had been the first to reach one billion Spotify plays.
“One Dance by Drake, Wizkid, and Kyla was the first song to exceed one billion streams on Spotify,” the tweet says.
As a chart-topping phenomenon, “One Dance” proved its enormous popularity and long-lasting impact on the music business. Notably, the song broke numerous records and cemented its position in music history.
