FIFA has formally announced that Saudi Arabia will host the 2034 FIFA World Cup, while Spain, Portugal, and Morocco will co-host the 2030 tournament.
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first World Cup in Uruguay in 1930, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay will each host one match in the historic six-nation tournament in 2030.
The remaining games will be played in Portugal, Morocco, and Spain.
In an online FIFA conference chaired by President Gianni Infantino, Saudi Arabia was unanimously approved as the only contender for the 2034 World Cup.
Saudi Arabia has made significant expenditures in cutting-edge stadiums and facilities in anticipation of the competition.
Two examples are a stadium in Neom that is 350 meters high and another that is perched on a cliff close to Riyadh.
