Speaking about fake friendships in the music business, Cynthia Morgan says, “They only remember you when you are trending.”

Cynthia Morgan, a singer from Nigeria, has lamented the amount of false friendship in the music business on social media.

On her Instagram story, Cynthia Morgan shared her thoughts, stating that in her line of work, friendships are uncommon because people tend to remember you just when you’re hot or when they need your help to survive.

When such people call, she says it feels fantastic, but she doesn’t want to work with them since their tone makes her chuckle.

Cynthia told how just two people, Samklef and Kaha, had helped her during her time of need; everyone else, even the folks she had worked for free, had shied away from her.

“There is barely friendship at the NMI,” the writer stated. When they hear a beat that they believe only you can kill, these folks are probably only going to remember you when you are trending. Not intense, but when they call and I tell them I’m not doing music right now, it always feels wonderful because their voice always seems to change.

“Kaha sent me 100,000 and Samklef sent me 50,000 during my difficulties. What became of all the artists for whom I performed and collaborated for free? Haha.
