Shalipopi, an Afropop sensation, has announced his departure from Dapper Music, claiming that the head of the record label has exploited him.
Following Seyi Vibez’s exit from the same record label, this situation occurred.
Shalipopi disclosed his reasons for leaving Dapper Music in an official statement posted on his Instagram page.
Shalipopi specifically stated that he left because of an unjust “lifetime deal,” a conflict of interest that threatened to ruin his music career, and a lack of transparency regarding his personal income.
Shalipopi also thanked his devoted followers and asked them to distance themselves from any activities involving him and the label.
“I come to you today with a sorrowful heart,” says a portion of the statement. I’m formally terminating my contracts with Dapper Music. After my trust was betrayed, my money was mismanaged, and my rights as an artist were ignored, I was forced to make this choice. I deserve to know where my money is going because I’ve put in a lot of labor. My money was refused to me.
