The famous actress Olivia Hussey, who enthralled viewers as Juliet in Franco Zeffirelli’s famous 1968 Romeo and Juliet film, died at the age of 73.

We regret to inform you of Olivia Hussey Eisley’s demise. She passed away on December 27th, quietly at home with her loved ones by her side. Olivia was a fantastic individual who impacted everyone she came into contact with her warmth, wisdom, and unadulterated goodness.
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on April 17, 1951. Olivia led a life filled with love, devotion, and passion for the arts, spirituality, and animals.
Hussey’s breakthrough performance in Romeo and Juliet, which she landed at the age of 15, cemented her position in movie history and awarded her a Golden Globe for “New Star of the Year.”
Her depiction of Shakespeare’s eternal heroine, opposite Leonard Whiting, is still remembered as outstanding.
Hussey starred in a wide variety of movies and television series during her storied career, such as the 1978 adaption of Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile and the 1974 horror classic Black Christmas.
Hussey is survived by her three children, a grandchild, and her devoted husband, musician David Eisley.
