The formal appeal against Davido submitted by Tiwa Savage has been acknowledged as received by the Lagos State Police Command.
Tiwa Savage filed a petition against Davido, her coworker who goes by David Adeleke, alleging that he has been threatening to kill her and torturing her.
The singer of “Somebody’s Son” responded to a post featuring herself and the singer’s baby mama, Sophia Momodu, in the widely circulated petition by accusing Davido of using offensive language.
The singer assured Davido of her unwavering support during his family’s trying moments, including the loss of his son Ifeanyi, and expressed her disappointment with his threats.
She insisted, however, that she had gotten calls from people inquiring about her association with Sophia and any actions that would have displeased Davido.
In response to a query from PUNCH, Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, said on Tuesday that the claims are now the subject of an investigation.
“I can certify to you that we have received the petition and that an investigation has begun,” he stated.
