Nigerians have been advised by the Nigerian Police Force not to use the recently trending slogan, “This year, No gree for anyone.”
ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, a spokesman for the police force, gave the warning while taking a number of offenders to the Force headquarters in Abuja.
The police force spokeswoman claims that the widely used phrase “No gree for anyone this year” is a product of the volunteer sector and might lead to several issues nationwide.
Additionally, he labeled the tagline as violently provocative.
According to him;
The new catchphrase for our youth for 2024 is “No de gree for anybody.” Our intelligence has alerted us that the slogan originates from a revolutionary sector that might potentially generate issues throughout the entire nation. In the security world, however, we view “nor dey gree for anybody” as a highly risky catchphrase that has the potential to spark a catastrophe rather than just being a casual conversation.
