In response to concerns on the postponed release of the late Mohbad’s investigation findings, the Lagos State Police Command has responded.
The pro-democracy Take-It-Back Movement (TIB) expressed displeasure with the police’s protracted silence as being unjust to the public during a news conference on Thursday and requested that the Lagos State Police Command reveal the late singer’s autopsy report.
The group urged law enforcement to look into online harassment aimed against Mohbad’s wife Wunmi and the kidnapped Liam. They emphasized that there will be severe consequences for anyone caught in the act.
Police spokesman Hundeyin said that the command had not yet received the pathologists’ report on Mohbad’s autopsy when he was contacted by the PUNCH correspondent on Thursday.
According to Hundeyin, the police would not base their inquiry into the death on conjecture.
in his own words
“The pathologists who performed the autopsy are not us.”We’ll call the investigation to a close when the pathologists provide us with their report. We’re waiting for that for the time being. They want us to make educated guesses, but we are unable to do so; we must first obtain the report and view the results, which we have not yet done.
