Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has responded to the persistent rumors that her and fellow actor Frederick Leonard are having a marital issue.
Her husband’s vehement Instagram post denouncing rumors of a marital problem preceded this.
Peggy’s participation in the Christmas pyjamas trend, which involves couples posing under a Christmas tree wearing similar costumes, sparked the issue.
Peggy, however, chose a short dress and posed by herself without her spouse or wedding band. Her wardrobe choice was criticized as unsuitable for a married woman, while others questioned the status of their marriage. This prompted a flurry of conjecture in the comments section.
Frederick Leonard said that their marriage is “nobody’s business” and attacked people who were spreading the rumors in a long Instagram post.
He stood out for his wife’s independence, saying that marriage is not enslavement and that Peggy had the freedom to dress whenever she pleases, take pictures without him, and even take solo vacations.
Peggy Ovire essentially put an end to the rumors of a marital problem when she repeated her husband’s comment on her Instagram story, showing support for his position. The action makes it quite evident that the pair is united in their opposition to unjustified rumors and scrutiny.
