“No one is willing help Speed Darlington,” Lawyer laments.

Stan Alieke, Speed Darlington’s attorney, has voiced his displeasure with the Nigeria Police’s ongoing imprisonment of the musician in spite of a high court judgment that granted him bail.

Alieke exposed the difficulties in obtaining his client’s release and attacked the police for disobeying the court order in an Instagram video.

Stan went on to mention the difficulties he had winning over Nigerians, who openly claimed that Speed Darlington deserved a taste of his poison for constantly disparaging people’s reputations and personalities.

He said…

“Yesterday makes it 31 days since he has been in detention. People are saying stop the emotional blackmail; why don’t you advise your client. Let’s move on from that because those things are nonsense; it could be you,”

He also bemoaned the absence of backing from powerful people, drawing a comparison to an earlier instance in which Burna Boy stepped in.

“I’ve exhausted my connections; no one wants to help Speed Darlington. The first time he was arrested, Burna Boy showed up with his team and handed out bundles of cash to the police officers,”

The extended incarceration raises concerns about the difficulties people have in pursuing justice as well as compliance with the law.
