Nigerian police detain the owner and members of the Gistlover Blog.

Honorable and Doctor Mrs. Seye Oladejo’s petition led to the arrest of the owner and members of the Gistlover Blog by the Nigeria Police Force’s National Cybercrime Center.

These arrests are related to a case involving conspiracy, cyberstalking, and threats to life, according to Linda Ikeji Blog.

Nigerian police detain the owner and members of the Gistlover Blog.

The police force’s spokesperson, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, claims that the three people who have been arrested, Adebukola Kolapo, Nnedum Micheal Somtomchukwu, and Isaac Akpokighe, are purported members of the Gistlover family syndicate.

According to reports, this syndicate runs the Gistlover blog, a microblogging site notorious for participating in illegal actions such as provocation, blackmail, and cyberstalking that have raised concerns from the public over time.

According to the police statement, the suspects admitted to differing degrees of participation in the plot during questioning, which is consistent with the strong evidence that was previously in possession.

Adebukola Kolapo, also known as Omo oba Gistlover, is said to have contributed significantly to the creation of more than 80% of the Gistlover pages, thereby serving as his digital trail for these illegal activities.

Adebukola was purportedly employed by the platform, where she was given financial incentives and cars, and her duties included content captioning, content scouting, editing, and cyberstalking messages directed at the complainant, Hon. and Mrs. Oluseyi Oladejo.

Furthermore, Adebukola has been charged with utilizing a variety of methods to assist in the money laundering associated with these illicit enterprises.

Additionally, eight Gistlover sites that were allegedly made by Adebukola under the supervision of the head of the syndicate were found through digital forensic research, along with wallet addresses connected to the money laundering operations.
