Mr. Eazi commends 2Face and Beenie Man and explains the origin of the term “Zagadat.”

Renowned musician and entrepreneur Mr. Eazi shares how he was inspired by iconic singers 2BABA (previously 2Face) and Jamaican dancehall star Beenie Man to coin the catchphrase “Zagadat.”

He disclosed that the words from 2Face’s “Nfana Ibaga” remix, which features Beenie Man, were the source of inspiration for his catchphrase, “Zagadat.”

Mr. Eazi emphasized that he couldn’t face copyright difficulties with the slang because he didn’t utter it in the same way as it was portrayed in the song during an interview with Capital Xtra, UK.

According to him;

“Many thanks to Beenie Man. TwoFace and Beenie Man. My catchphrase, “Zagadat,” originated from their remix of the song “Nfana Ibaga.” excerpted from “And the Lord said, Let there be light.” Zagazaga za. That’s its origin, my friend.

“I said, ‘Zagadat,’ so I don’t have to give them royalties. “Zagagaza za” is not what I said.
