Well-known Nollywood actress Jaiye Kuti discusses the difficulties that many women have in their marriages and how most of them wouldn’t mind divorcing at some time.
The actress stated in a recent interview that marriage eventually becomes difficult because most couples are not from similar ethnic backgrounds.
The actress stated in a recent interview that marriage eventually becomes difficult because most couples are not from similar ethnic backgrounds.
To support her claim, Jaiye Kuti disclosed that couples typically get to know one another better after marriage than they did during their courtship. She underlined how difficult these elements might be for the majority of women.
Jaiye used the example of herself, saying that despite her three attempts to leave her marriage, she ultimately found herself trapped in it.
She continued by saying that men, on the other hand, make it seem simple to want to leave marriages due to their selfish desire to cheat.
According to her:
“Of the 100 women surveyed, 85% would like to end their marriage. I even made three attempts to leave. The problem is that when you marry someone from a different culture, people start to reveal their actual selves. A man would treat and spoil a woman when he wanted to get married, but when a second marriage and kids are involved, things go too far. Men can also have egotistical tendencies and are unstoppable when it comes to cheating.
