Renowned actress Regina Askia, who worked with actor Emeka Ike during their time together, has shared her experiences with him regarding the ongoing conflict between the actor’s wife and son.
As you may remember, the seasoned actor has been in the headlines ever since he announced his divorce from Suzanne, his ex-wife, whom he claimed was using extortion to cause him to lose everything.
Suzanne said that Emeka had mistreated her both physically and verbally. Their son Michael made matters worse by saying that his father had advised him to commit suicide and that he would never succeed.
During Daddy Freeze’s Instagram live session on Wednesday, Regina Askia added her voice to this and said that the biggest agony is being betrayed by someone you have made sacrifices for.
She went on to explain that it’s critical to take Emeka Ike’s struggles into account.
According to her:
“Leaving a society like Nigeria and having to adjust to one that is drastically different from your own is really upsetting, and you have to remember the struggles that man is facing. While I in no way condone violence, you have to take into account the man’s actual struggles.
“As you may know, I used to work with Emeka Ike. I’ve never met his wife or son, but I am aware of the familial dynamics that may drive someone to such extremes. Nothing hurts more deeply than when loved ones you give up your lives, your savings, or anything else of value turns their back against you, It is depressing. I’m hoping they can work things out, maybe even exchange an apology from father to son, and move on.
