According to reports, a fire breakout in Kwara State’s Ilorin West Local Government Area has claimed one life.
Early on Monday morning, the 41-year-old man who was only known as Abdulfatai was killed in the event.
It consumed a house with 35 rooms in the vicinity, according to the Kwara State Fire Service, which verified the occurrence in a statement issued by Hassan Adekunle, Director of Media and Publicity.
He claimed that the dead did not live in the building that was impacted, but rather had traveled from the Alate complex in Ilorin’s Abayawo neighborhood to spend the night with a friend at the time of the occurrence.
According to Adekunle, the fire department managed to preserve thirty of the thirty-five rooms that were destroyed by the fire.
