A young woman revealed that she was pregnant in a series of WhatsApp screenshots, which sparked a heated argument between her and her partner and a flood of comments from online users.
When the young woman, whose identity is being kept secret, informed her lover that she was pregnant, a conversation started.
The woman said in the post shared by @oyindapenaddict that she had been feeling under the weather. This led her to take a pregnancy test, which verified her concerns.
She told her lover about it with excitement, hoping for a good reaction.
But the boyfriend’s response was nothing like she had expected. Confounded and irritated, he responded by calling her sick and brushing off her confession as a joke.
“I assume you’re ill. It’s too early for this, please let me be,” the boyfriend pleaded.
She tried to explain to him what motherhood meant and to include him in her happiness, but he refused to accept any guilt and maintained that it was too soon to talk about such things.
The young woman’s insulting attitude toward her boyfriend caused her to become upset, and she threatened to bring up her mother during their chat.
She made a commitment to go see her boyfriend’s mother and make amends, hoping to repair the situation as best she could.
I know what to do, hehe. I’ll report you to my mother over the phone first. Because I no longer understand you,” the expectant woman remarked.
His attitude, on the other hand, was one of rage and threats not to involve his family; he even threatened to cut off communication with her and implied that her parents may disown her
According to the boyfriend:
I hope you’re not referring to my mother. Don’t even try it; see Ifemide Abii wetin be your name. Because I am not the cause of that foolish thing you called pregnancy. Leave me direct message before I block you, and feel free to call my mother or anybody else. How am I going to spoil you for them, huh? You folks
Reactions from the Internet:
“‘I guess you are sick,'” remarked @Don_pasy. Let me be; it’s too early for this. I hurt the most at this part, omor. How depressing!
According to @massive_Edafe10, “Life can be so cruel at times.”
“What does she expect?” asked @iam_ayobamie.
Reacting, @P_Cha7 said, “So sad. Men are accountable for their actions.
“Life comes,” remarked @Ramesh Saxena.
