A poor Nigerian woman tells how humiliating it is to go on a date with men who base their dates’ expenses on their pocket.
A social media user going by the handle @Simplegbemi used the microblogging site X to voice her thoughts about males who don’t spend extravagantly.
The woman claims that these men make her feel embarrassed if they are unable to make purchases without considering their financial situation.
“I detest sharing a table with a guy who does all the calculations.” Stay at home, please. It’s fucking embarrassing 🙄🤦🏽♀️ if you don’t have money, she wrote.
However, the tweet sparked a firestorm of responses from other users, some of whom just criticized her for being conceited.
