The seasoned Nollywood actor Ireti Doyle revealed the one condition she would agree to before appearing in a film in her underwear.
Ireti emphasized in the most recent installment of Pulse’s podcast, “Terms and Conditions,” that she has only given the screenplay a reason for her to portray a nude character in a film.
Ireti Doyle stated unequivocally that she would not take a role in a film if the purpose of the nudity was marketing and publicity.
Because she thinks the script is important, she would not contemplate using it for promotional purposes.
The 56-year-old actress said:
“There are roles that I refuse to portray. Furthermore, it is unrelated to love scenes or nudity.
For example, the screenplay would have to support my going nude if you were expecting me to do so. No way at all if it was done for the sake of sensationalism and clickbait. However, I’m confident we can find a way for you to attain the necessary level of realism if you are narrating a narrative of rape or abuse and it is required.
Furthermore, as I previously mentioned, you should communicate any reservations you may have about playing a character or a role in advance as a professional actor. Not in the middle of the set. You have perused the script. You were aware of what was needed. What unites you all.
