A well-known activist named VeryDarkMan has publicly warned a man who said he drove to Kogi State and managed to flee the kidnappers’ hideaway.
Daniel Yunusa, a Nigerian, reportedly told Gistreel that he had escaped from the kidnappers’ hideout.
In a video that went viral, Daniel claimed that while traveling to Kogi state, he and five of his brothers and friends were kidnapped and dragged into the jungle.
Daniel said that while running away, he was able to record some footage in the forest. In one of the films he uploaded, he begged Nigerians for assistance, stating he had no idea where he was or how to return to safety.
Following his escape, he made a video in which he and his family pleaded with Nigerians to give funds to meet the N200 million ransom that the kidnappers had requested in order to release his friends and brothers.
VeryDarkMan shot back, saying nobody should ever give him a chance because his story doesn’t sound real.
The contentious activist said his friends in law enforcement are looking into Daniel’s case and advised Daniel to hope his accusation is genuine.
“In just 4 days you posted your kidnap, posted car, uploaded kidnapper video, and now you are asking for donations, your only rescuer will be if this is genuine,” he said, threatening to spend a good time with the police if any of the claims are false.
