Woli Arole, a well-known comedian and television personality, has described an internet user experience he had with someone posing as Davido.

Woli Arole revealed in a social media post that when he was lost, a con artist posing as Afrobeat artist Davido texted him asking for assistance.

The comedian claimed to have sent the con artist, whom he thought to be Davido, 50,000 with pride, although he did not specify the currency.

But after making the payment, Arole seemed to be having second thoughts.

“I am really proud of myself tonight,” he wrote in his post. “Davido sent me a direct message and asked for 50,000. He said he stood, so I sent him the money.” Hey folks, is this a fake Davido? Assist your prophet, please.
