A young Nigerian man describes the predicament he found himself in following a fight over who would cook with his partner, who had an ulcer.
A social media user going by the handle Fola used the X platform to describe a tense situation in his past relationship.
In answer to a question from another member regarding men’s encounters with women who made their day difficult, he narrated his story.
“Have women ever irritated you? Bruh?” inquired the X user.
Fola replied by relating the story of the day his girlfriend starved herself in protest at having to prepare meals for the two of them.
We got into a small fight about who should make the food when I went to see her.
She left the room for a while, walked into the kitchen, and came back after five minutes. When I realized that the silence may soon escalate into a full-fledged quarrel, I asked her what she would eat, to which she shrugged. She apparently went to the kitchen and stood there drinking garri with salt 😂.
When she informed me, it ignited my mind, and I had to go get groceries to prepare, then beg her to share the meal with me 😫. and she had an ulcer, so he continued to cut garri and salt.
