Herbert Wigwe, the CEO of Access Holdings, along with his spouse and four other individuals, perish in a catastrophic helicopter crash in California.
Approximately 10 p.m. on Friday, the incident happened close to Boulder City, which is located between Nevada and California.
According to police records, they left the Palm Springs airport at 8:45 p.m. with the intention of traveling to Las Vegas; sadly, the disaster occurred before they made it there.
The Nigeria Export Group’s group chairman, Abimbola Ogunbajo, was onboard the chopper with the CEO and their son, Chizoba.
They all perished instantly, hence there were no survivors on the aircraft.
Just 57 years old, he had taken over as managing director and CEO of Access Bank Holdings after his business partner, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, passed away.
