Osimhen has been playing brilliantly in Turkey since joining Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli last summer.
The Nigerian international has continuously performed, helping to catapult Galatasaray to the top of the Süper Lig and securing their place as a contender for the Europa League with goals and assists.
Osimhen’s infatuation at PSG is well known.
After the 25-year-old’s heroics in leading Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years, the Parisian club reportedly submitted a €100 million bid last year.
But Napoli turned down the offer, so PSG looked for alternatives.
Osimhen was once more mentioned by PSG last summer as they were looking to replace Kylian Mbappé, who had joined Real Madrid. The French powerhouses were however put off by Napoli’s high valuation.
PSG has had trouble staying consistent this season, especially in the Champions League.
The French team has only won once in five European games, endangering their chances of making it to the knockout stage even though they are leading Ligue 1, where they are undefeated after 13 games.
According to French writer Daniel Riolo’s reports (via OjbSports), manager Luis Enrique believes Osimhen is the ideal addition to rekindle their campaign.
Galatasaray is still committed to keeping Osimhen until the end of the season, even though PSG has the financial clout to make an alluring offer.
The striker has stated openly that he intends to complete the season with Istanbul.
There will be a lot of drama throughout the January transfer window, and PSG will probably try Galatasaray’s resolve. It’s unclear if the pull of Paris and a high price will cause them to reconsider.
