Fulham 2-2 Liverpool: Jota saves the Reds following Robertson’s red card.

Diogo Jota scored late to give Liverpool a 2-2 draw against a determined Fulham team, rescuing a thrilling point at Anfield.

This is in spite of the fact that after Andy Robertson was sent off, the home team played for more than an hour with ten men.

Andreas Pereira’s shot deflected off Robertson to give Fulham the lead after just 11 minutes, capping a wild evening for Liverpool’s left-back, who was sent off for a last-man foul on Harry Wilson after VAR determined the Fulham winger was onside.

After the interval, Liverpool rallied, and two minutes into the second half, Cody Gakpo’s skillful header from Mohamed Salah’s precise cross put them back in the game.

But in the 76th minute, Rodrigo Muniz scored a beautiful goal after Antonee Robinson’s rushing run and pass gave Fulham the lead again.

The Premier League leaders were spared a devastating loss when substitute Diogo Jota saved Liverpool with an incredible equalizer in the 85th minute, just when it appeared the visitors would take all three points.

Liverpool maintains their lead with the draw, but Robertson’s red card and the performance raise concerns before the hectic holiday schedule.
