Phyna, the winner of Big Brother Naija’s “Level Up,” revealed that she dated a Muslim man for whom she had high intentions of converting to Islam.
The reality star claimed that even though she had shown a desire to become a Christian, her family had rejected her, so the relationship could not work.
Phyna revealed that although her boyfriend’s family prevented him from marrying her, she was a Catholic before she converted to Islam.
She disclosed this in a recent Hero’s Therapy interview with media personality Hero Daniels, claiming that her mother and sisters had threatened to throw her out.
The brand representative, who was born in Edo, claimed that after ending the relationship, she found out she was pregnant and told her ex-boyfriend, who refused to take responsibility.
She claimed that the man informed her that it was her “business,” therefore she felt forced to end the pregnancy because the “embarrassment was too great.”
“I left, I went back home, and I found out I was pregnant,” Phyna stated. When I called him, he told me that was his business. Although the shame would have been too great, I would have longed to retain the child.
“I had a wonderful future ahead of me and knew it would pull me back, but not a single family member want a Christian, so I was left to make the hardest choice ever.
