The Nollywood star Etim Effiong has talked candidly with his wife Toyosi about setting limits and handling the many female fans in his life.
In honor of his seventh wedding anniversary, he and his wife, Toyosi, relived a discussion they had seven years prior in which they discussed the difficulties of their relationship and their own development.
“Do you have safeguards in place to safeguard yourself from the wildness and craziness?” Toyosi questioned her husband, posing a challenging but well-known question.
Etim gave a considered response, discussing how he has grown in his ability to handle similar circumstances over time.
“I have measures in place, and I have always had measures in place,” is the straightforward response to the query. He remarked, “I suppose the toolbox is acquiring better measures as I develop.”
The actor emphasized the value of self-awareness and boundaries in overcoming his “savior complex.”
“I’ve learnt how to deal with my savior complex and to set boundaries,” he explained. I can’t be there to save everyone in need; I can’t be their savior, their love, or their emotional support. I have been able to manage this as I get older.
He assured her honestly, and his wife was observed soaking up the happiness of his kind words.
