Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has expressed his happiness with Alex Iwobi’s outstanding performances for Fulham this season.
Since joining Marco Silva’s team from Everton last summer, the Nigerian international has been playing well, scoring five goals in 15 Premier League games.
He also played a key role in Sunday’s 1-1 tie between Fulham and the Gunners.
In his assessment of the former Arsenal player’s development, Arteta praised Iwobi’s special traits.
“I always loved him a lot,” he stated in an interview with Metro UK. I believed that he possessed a very unique trait and a great deal of talent.
“He can play in a variety of positions and areas.” His performance at this level makes me very happy.
The 28-year-old Iwobi has established himself as a vital member of Fulham’s midfield, much like the Nigerian national squad.
