EPL: Fulham’s second goal against Liverpool was credited to Alex Iwobi.

Chris Sutton, a former Chelsea striker, has commended Alex Iwobi for his crucial role in Fulham’s second goal during their 2-2 draw with Liverpool.

Iwobi played a key role in setting up Rodrigo Muniz’s goal in the 76th minute, which gave Fulham a brief lead at Anfield on Saturday night.

An accurate ball from the Super Eagles midfielder to Antonee Robinson resulted in a low cross that was converted by Muniz.

“Iwobi and Robinson are that combination on the left-hand side. Throughout the afternoon, they have caused issues,” Sutton said on BBC Radio 5 Live.

“Despite being a little sloppy, Muniz demonstrated amazing inventiveness and the Iwobi pass is flawless.”

Remember Andreas Pereira’s deflected goal in the eleventh minute gave Fulham the lead.

Andy Robertson’s red card for a last-man tackle on Harry Wilson in the 17th minute ended Liverpool’s chances of an equalizer.

Liverpool tied the score early in the second half when Cody Gakpo headed home Mohamed Salah’s cross, despite the numerical disadvantage.

Iwobi’s brilliance helped Fulham regain their lead, but Liverpool equalized again through Diogo Jota in the 86th minute, salvaging a point for the 10-man Reds.

Iwobi completed the full 90 minutes, continuing his impressive streak of availability for Fulham this season, having featured in every Premier League game.
