Verydarkman has given his thoughts on Afe Babalola’s arrest of lawyer and human rights activist Dele Farotimi.
The media personality claimed that there was a problem with Babalola’s choice to arrest Farotimi and that it was evidence that everything the younger attorney had said about him was accurate.
VDM also disclosed how the 95-year-old attorney ought to have handled the matter rather than interfering with Farotimi’s arrest.
According to media personality Vincent Martins Otse, also known as Verydarkman, it was illogical for seasoned attorney Afe Babalola to try to influence the arrest of his younger colleague Dele Farotimi.
According to Babalola, he ought to have sued Farotimi and insisted that he provide evidence to support the claims made in his book Nigeria and Its Criminal Justice System. VDM claimed that although some individuals were unaware of the book, his actions encouraged Nigerians to purchase it.
The 30-year-old television personality stated that the possibility of a lawyer being imprisoned should worry Nigerians. It simply meant that the average person may be taken into custody as well.
He believed that if Babalola could behave in this manner at 95, with a few years left to live, then what he did when he was younger should cause concern among internet users. According to VDM, Babalola ought to have taught Farotimi to publicly apologize rather than following the pattern he did.
VDM requests the release of Dele Farotimi……
He proposed that rather than damaging Farotimi’s reputation and giving the appearance that he is an oppressor, Babalola would have fought him using his legal practice. He did, however, request that the nonagenarian release his younger colleague and properly sue him.
The legal dispute has increased awareness of Farotimi’s book, which is currently on Amazon’s bestseller list. According to VDM, Afe Babalola’s shutting up of Farotimi would introduce him to the younger generation, who previously knew little about him other than that he owned a university. He therefore begged him to free the 56-year-old attorney.
