Dangote Refinery and dealers would guarantee fuel supply during the celebration.

In order to guarantee a continuous gasoline supply throughout Yuletide, Dr. Joseph Obele, the National PRO of the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN), announced a strategic commercial arrangement with Dangote Refinery.

PETROAN’s National President, Dr. Billy Hary, led the association’s negotiating delegation to a fruitful meeting with Dangote Refinery management on December 2, 2024, in Lagos, Obele said in a statement on Friday.

A buyer-seller agreement that reserves monthly fuel volumes for PETROAN members at favorable rates was the basis for the transaction.

Obele said he was confident PETROAN’s distribution technical committee, which is leading the company’s zero-fuel scarcity plan, would avoid shortages over the holiday season. He gave Nigerians his word that the market will remain well-supplied thanks to the Port Harcourt and Dangote refineries.

He said that PETROAN downplayed concerns about fuel shortages and warned against panic buying, saying, “We are glad that Nigerians will travel effortlessly this season.”

Dr. Billy Hary commended Devakumar Edwin, the managing director of the Dangote Refinery and vice president of the Dangote Group, for his assistance in guaranteeing the availability of petroleum products.

Obele urged stakeholders to cooperate for market stability and reiterated PETROAN’s dedication to helping important players like NNPC Retail Ltd. and Dangote Refinery maintain supplies throughout the nation.

In order to effectively serve Nigerians during the holiday season and beyond, PETROAN retail locations around the country have been put on “green alert.”
