Nollywood producer and actor Deyemi Okanlawon claims that he went into the entertainment industry to work rather than pursue a career for fame.
The actor stated that he entered the industry to “do the work,” stressing that “celebrity was the collateral advantage.” He left engineering to pursue a career in entertainment.
“To be honest, I didn’t know this side of fame,” Deyemi stated in a recent Celebrity Quickies interview. It wasn’t my intention to enter the industry for fame.
“I came to do the work, and fame was a bonus that came along with it. I swiftly adjusted, realizing that this was merely a necessary aspect of the work.
“In fact, I strive to shove that out of my thoughts to keep myself grounded.”
He claims that starting his acting profession later on is his biggest regret.
He also mentioned that the two Hollywood actresses he would most like to go on dates with are Meryl Streep and Viola Davies.
