Actor Samuel Ajibola, popularly known as “Spiff,” of Nollywood, has talked about his son’s resemblance to former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Remember how Spiff’s family was harassed in 2022 when he shared pictures of a trip to Obasanjo on social media?
Netizens claim that his son has a “striking resemblance” to the previous leader of Nigeria.
The actor addressed cyberbullying in a recent interview with Channels TV, calling the assertions made by online users that Obasanjo was his son’s “real father” “misinformed.”
He said that the reason his son looked like Obasanjo in the photo he sent was that the boy had eye bags and had just woken up from sleep.
“The photo of me and my wife with Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, the previous president, created a lot of agitation,” he stated.
“I am the Youth Ambassador for the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library’s Youth Development Center.” Thus, we are in a relationship. He’s been a major mentor in my life.
Thus, I go see him occasionally. I took my son there to visit him after I gave birth. And presumptions began to spread. “All right, so my wife worked as the former President’s secretary.” From there, it went to, “Oh, he [Obasanjo] is my son’s real father.”
I will not retract this; I am stating it in real time. My son does look like him in that photo. However, there are other factors at play. It’s still only a picture, too. The image is motionless. It is a moment. My son was just waking up from sleep at the time when we got there. He had those eyebags and was simply booting. He appeared like the former with those eyebags.
