A Nigerian man known on TikTok as @availableufuoma day of joy, has provoked conflicting views after posting a video of the tearful moment he surprised his wife with a freshly constructed home. However, other social media users have criticized the young man for the words he used during the revelation.
The man in the widely shared video showed his wife where the house he had concealed during construction was located. When it was revealed that the house was “his,” his wife screamed and looked overcome with shock.
Many viewers commended the man for his diligence and consideration, but some criticized his wording, claiming that the house should have been referred to as “us” instead of “his.”
He was defended by his supporters, who said that his use of “my” was probably accidental or part of the surprise.
Responses to the man’s recently constructed home:
“Most of you are upset at his statement, but the woman herself is content, and you are upset because they don’t know,” said Gyimah Modric.
“Which one is my house, it should be our house,” Princess Sophia remarked.
“Wallahi, if I were the wife, I wouldn’t laugh, so I’d go ahead and do a big project in secret,” remarked Area scatter 😏🤝.
Udu “Ma my house be this or na our house be this?” Ako Mmiri asked. What type of talk is that?
“There seems to be no transparency in the marriage, and I don’t like that you build a house without your wife knowing,” Nanini remarked.
“She will be similarly startled after selling it without her knowledge,” stated Ntare256. All goals and desires should be communicated from the start of a marriage.
