A young Nigerian woman has accused Pastor Babatunde George, the regional head of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Ilupeju branch, of stealing her father’s property.
According to the woman’s account in a popular video, her father bought the land in 2002 with the intention of selling it later to help his kids.
Though there was proof to back her father’s ownership, she maintained that the pastor had unjustly taken control of the land, which resulted in a drawn-out judicial struggle that her father ultimately lost.
The pastor’s attorney allegedly threatened and intimidated the woman, saying that her family would never reclaim the land.
She bemoaned the ordeal’s negative effects on her father’s health and voiced her disgust at what she saw as the church’s and the preacher’s persecution.
“My father is unable to sleep at any time of day. Stress is causing my dad to struggle and appear older than he actually is. “This is unfair; we poor people have no voice,” she stated.
On social media, the video has caused a public uproar, with many people demanding that the situation be looked into. As of now, neither Pastor Babatunde George nor MFM has stated the allegations.
