The banner announcing the late Nigerian actor Junior Pope’s burial has gone viral online, receiving a lot of attention.
On April 10, while returning from a movie shoot, Mr. Odonwodo, also known as Junior Pope, and four other crew members perished in their boat when it capsized in the Anam River in Anambra State.
Out of the twelve people that got into the unfortunate boat, around seven were saved alive and the other five, including Mr. Odonwodo, passed away.
According to the actor’s burial poster, Mr. Odonwodo’s family revealed his burial plans via a requiem liturgy at Saint John-Mary Vianney Parish in Asaba, Delta State, on April 23.
Divine Odonwodo, speaking for the family, signed the burial announcement on the poster, which states that on May 13, Christ the King Catholic Parish, G.R.A., Enugu will host another requiem liturgy.
An evening of candlelight and tributes will take place at the Amadeo Event Centre in Enugu on May 14 starting at 5 p.m.
At his rural residence in Uwala Abaka, Ukehe, a hamlet in the state’s Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area, a wake is scheduled on May 16.
On Friday, May 17, the Nollywood star will finally be laid to rest at his rural home following a funeral liturgy at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church in Ukehe. The actor’s burial will be promptly followed by burial.
