After paying him a visit in his office, veteran Nollywood actor Anayo Modestus Onyekwere, better known by his stage as Kanayo O Kanayo, made his younger colleague Uche Maduagwu very happy.
It’s important to remember that a few months ago, Uche confronted Kanayo about his remarks on the well-being of comedic actor John Okafor, better known by his stage name, Mr. Ibu.
But the controversial actor, who appeared ecstatic to see his senior colleague, was observed expressing regret for his criticism of Kanayo.
Uche is seen approaching Kanayo’s office and lowering himself to his knees in the viral footage.
In response, Kanayo touched him, prayed for the singer-theatre performer to use social media for good, and asked God to bless him.
When Uche Maduagwu disclosed that the well-known actor had given him N2 million as a farewell present, he was ecstatic. One person called Kanayo the most giving person in Nollywood.
“OMG, this is too much, I’ve been crying all day, tears of joy, he PRAYED for me and then surprisingly gave me 2 Million Naira,” the man tweeted. “This is divine FAVOR, my Daddy @kanayo.o.kanayo has finally FORGIVEN me for criticizing him and given me Two Million Naira for Christmas.”
