Following the terrible stampede at her funfair in Ibadan, Olori Naomi Silekunola Ogunwusi’s mother has made an emotional plea for her daughter’s release from murder charges.
The distraught mother eloquently argued Olori Naomi’s innocence in a widely shared video, emphasizing her lengthy history of philanthropic activity.

She has been doing this charity for over ten years, and she has been to everywhere, helping children, old people, and pregnant women,”
Addressing the families affected by the tragic incident she added, “All those who lost their children to the tragic incident, I commiserate with you. Please release my child; she’s very innocent. Help me, the government; release my daughter.”
Olori Naomi, the former queen of the Ooni of Ife, is charged with participating in a plot that resulted in hastened deaths on December 18, 2024, at Islamic High School in Bashorun. She is accused of breaking Section 324 of the Oyo State Criminal Code, along with other organizers, such as broadcaster Oriyomi Hamzat.
Online, the sincere appeal has generated a lot of responses, with many people demanding an impartial and open investigation into the occurrence. Some call for accountability for the awful deaths, while others express growing sympathy for Olori Naomi and her family.
