Mercy Aigbe describes a health issue that arose during the filming of “Thinline.”

Mercy Aigbe, a Nollywood actress and filmmaker, has disclosed the severe health issues she faced while making her most recent film, Thinline.

Mercy shared her story on Instagram today, December 20, 2024, revealing that she was admitted to the hospital after waking up on set with extremely painful and swollen eyes.

The seasoned actress, who had trouble selling the film when it first came out, claims that the doctors determined that the swelling in her eyes was caused by a serious infection.

She said….

“Throwback to the set of Thinline. I woke up one morning on set, and my eyes were like this (swollen and red). We couldn’t film, we had to break set, and the pain that came with this was excruciating. I was hospitalised. In fact, it was a whole lot of challenges!”

Mercy was thankful to have survived the manufacturing process, which she called a difficult and emotional rollercoaster, despite the experience.

“This road with Thinline has been an experience, full of hardships, but overall, I still give God the glory 🙏🙏🙏,” she continued.

In order to inject some humor, Mercy related an exchange she had with someone who wondered if her difficulties were connected to the film’s plot. “I don’t think so, oh!” she responded, laughing at the proposal.

According to the actress, the movie was a labor of love that involved “hard work, aches, blood, and sweat.” In addition, she thanked the fans who had already seen Thinline and urged others to see it in theaters.
