Husband and wife were given a life sentence for killing their daughter in the UK.

A man named Urfan Sharif and his wife, Beinash Batool, were found guilty of killing their daughter, Sara Sharif, and were given life sentences in the UK.

On Tuesday, the 43-year-old man and his 30-year-old wife—who also happens to be the deceased’s stepmother—were sentenced.

They will each be sentenced to at least 40 and 33 years in prison for the murder of their daughter.

The British-Pakistani child, age 10, reportedly passed away following a protracted “campaign of torture” and “despicable mistreatment.”

According to information provided to the court, the deceased’s body was discovered with burns from an electric iron, shattered bones, and bites and bruises.

Sara had endured “acts of terrible cruelty,” according to Judge John Cavanagh, who also sentenced her, but Sharif and Batool had not displayed “a crumb of remorse.”

It is difficult to imagine the stress, suffering, and trauma Sara would have had as a result of this violent campaign.

According to the judge, Sara had been “trussed up” over her head with a “grotesque combination of parcel tape, a rope, and a plastic bag” after being battered with a cricket bat and metal pole.
